Blue Ocean Aquatics Swim Club took part in the annual Beavers Winter Champs gala at the revamped Verda School pool in Queensburgh last weekend.
It was a promising start to the season that lies ahead.
BOA had 12 swimmers in the championship gala. For most, it was their first Durban gala.
They did very well, swimming personal best times in events, as well as bringing home 13 medals altogether.
Caylen Preston won two gold medals and a silver medal. Grayson Greco won two bronze medals.
Kirsty Koegelenberg won three gold, one silver and one bronze medal. Ivan Kleynhans won a silver and a bronze medal. Kyle Solomon won a bronze medal.
