IFP’s Sifundo Ngwane joins Ugu Exco

Ugu District Municipality mayor Sikhumbuzo Mqadi welcomed him on behalf of the council and wished him well in his new responsibilities.

The council of Ugu District Municipality welcomed Sifundo Ngwane to the executive committee (Exco) as a member of the IFP.

Ngwane was sworn in during a council meeting last Thursday.

This comes after Umzumbe Municipality’s Simphiwe ‘Jika’ Mthethwa, who previously occupied the IFP Exco seat in Ugu, was sworn in as the speaker of the Umzumbe council.

Also serving as Ray Nkonyeni Municipality’s Ward 15 councillor, Ngwane swore under oath to serve the people of Ugu with due diligence.

As the chairperson of the IFP in the Ugu District, he joins with a wealth of experience and expertise, having served as a councillor and Exco member and having chaired various portfolios in the Ray Nkonyeni council for over a decade.

Meanwhile, Ugu mayor Sikhumbuzo Mqadi welcomed Ngwane on behalf of the council and wished him well in his new responsibilities.
