Man beaten to death in Madlala

The public is warned against taking the law into their own hands.

The body of a man (30) was found on the side of a road after he had allegedly been severely beaten.

Two suspects, aged 26 and 27, were arrested by police after the murder, which occurred at Lamont location in Madlala location on March 1.

This area is under the jurisdiction of Saps Southport.

The public is warned against taking the law into their own hands, as offenders of such violence can face arrest and prosecution.

Saps condemns vigilantism and mob justice in the strongest possible terms but encourages local communities to contact the police, law enforcement or security agencies regarding criminal activities and not to resort to violence or breaking the law.
