Umuziwabantu honours Mandela Day
Umuziwabantu Municipality, Sboniso Zungu, said he was pleased to see the municipal staff and community members supporting the Mandela Day initiative.
In honour of the first democratic president, Umuziwabantu Municipality, spent over 67 minutes cleaning the Harding CBD on Mandela Day.
The mayor, Sboniso Zungu, who led the clean up campaign, said he was pleased to see the municipal staff and community members supporting the initiative.
“As a council, we felt it was good to celebrate this Mandela Day by doing good for the community. We decided to pick up litter in the Harding CBD together with residents. The commitment of everyone who participated clearly showed that if we work together with our communities, there is much we can overcome,” said Zungu.
