Makhosi Gobhozi recently acted in the same position.

Makhosi Gobhozi was appointed as General Manager for Corporate Services at Ugu District Municipality, effective from November 1.

According to a statement by Ugu, the appointment followed a rigorous and transparent recruitment process, conducted in full compliance with municipal policies and good governance principles.

The spokesperson for the municipality, Zimbini Mpurwana, said the vacancy attracted a number of highly qualified candidates, and Gobhozi emerged as the most suitable, demonstrating both strong leadership capabilities and deep institutional knowledge.

“Gobhozi is a seasoned professional and one of the internally nurtured leaders in the municipality. She began her career in 2008 as an Administrative Assistant and has steadily advanced through various roles, demonstrating excellence, integrity and commitment to public service. Having recently acted in the same position, she brings a wealth of experience and an in-depth understanding of the Corporate Services environment.”
