Gold for Ugu karate at Salga Games

Congratulations were extended to all the karateka, managers and coaches who took part.

The WKF Ugu Karate semi-contact and full-contact karate teams, together with a number of other sporting codes, recently took part in the Salga KZN Games hosted by the uMgundlovu District Municipality.

After some hard-fought competition, the semi-contact team took the gold medal, thanks to a combined score of both the kumite and kata, putting them in first place.

The full-contact team fought well and walked away with the silver medal in the division.

Ugu Karate thanked all the relevant parties for their support and assistance throughout the competition.

Congratulations were extended to all the karateka, managers and coaches who took part.

Ugu Karate expressed pride at the results of their hard work and effort in representing the region.
