Ugu karate shines at provincial trials

There's a lot coming up to look forward to.

Ugu karateka recently took part in the KZN provincial elite and development trials held in Durban.

A record number of medals were received, and the region is proud to announce that all its athletes have qualified for the upcoming KSA national championships.

The senior national tournament, which represents U21, senior, veteran and masters, as well as the KSA Development Championships, will take place in Pretoria on February 27-28.

The junior national tournament, representing elite children, cadet and junior athletes up to 17 years of age, will be held in Durban from March 20-22.

“We wish all our athletes everything of the best as they represent the Ugu region in their respective tournaments, Ugu karate shine at provincial trials,” said Ugu chairperson Shihan Coenie Vrey.
