Battle at the South Coast boxing tournament draws near
Local fighter Jordan Peace will take on Thabisa Makhanya in the junior middleweight over four rounds.
Battle at the Coast, presented by Fighters Club, is set to take place at the Wild Coast Sun in Port Edward on Saturday, May 9.
The purpose of the tournament is to honour the youth and show amateur boxing.
The night will include a world-class fight card, including a world title fight, rising talent, and a platform built to change the game.
Among these is local fighter Jordan Peace, who will be in action in the second to last fight, taking on Thabisa Makhanya in the junior middleweight over four rounds.
This isn’t just about boxing. It’s about opportunity, impact, and rewriting the narrative – especially for women in the sport.
Bouts will start at noon and go on late into the night.
SABC Sports will be broadcasting the event.
