Jumperz Darts Club is proud of its new kit for the year and is grateful to its sponsors.
The club was formed in 2013 after the death of Atish ‘Jumperz’ Sewraj (16), the only child of Indrani and Pravin Sewraj. Atish died in a vehicle accident on November 10, 2012.
The club which is affiliated to the Port Shepstone District Darts Association was started by Atish’s dad Pravin and uncle Ivan Govender to keep his memories alive, as he excelled in darts by taking first place in KZN in 2010 and 2011.
The club started with just four players and now the team is 15 players strong which includes Atish’s parents.
The club excels every year and has won leagues undefeated and knockouts.
There are currently two registered women in the club, Indrani and Nishana Bowla.
Pravin is the celebrity at the club as he obtained his KZN colours in 2024 and his Master’s colours in 2025. He was also chosen to play in the Master’s team at Darts South Africa and the team took first position at DSA level which was held at the Wild Coast Sun Hotel and Casino Resort last year.
Pravin also had a 170 close (The Big Fish) achieved at DSA level being the highest close of a darts game. Pravin is definitely following in Atish’s footsteps, and both parents are doing him proud as Indrani and her team came second in their division at KZN level in 2025.
“We are grateful to every player who is part of the club and keeping Atish’s name flying high,” said Indrani.
