All-set for Maskandi festival in Mtwalume

Among the artists taking to stage are Khuzani, Bahumbe, Mjolisi, Ntencane, Inkosi YamaGcokama.

Preparations are well under way for the first-of-its-kind Umzumbe Maskandi Music Festival, which takes place at Esibanini Primary in Mtwalume on Youth Day, June 16.

Artists such as Khuzani, Bahumbe, Mjolisi, Ntencane, Inkosi YamaGcokama will take to stage.

The event will also give young, upcoming Maskandi artists an opportunity to showcase their talent.
Founder of the festival, Eve Amanda Mseleku, said the event also aims to celebrate and empower Maskandi artists and traditional music.

Among other activities that will be included on the programme line-up are food villages with local flavours, workshops for entrepreneurs, and craft and trade vendors.
