Tweni TC served a few treats

Ian Iggleden was a welcome visitor and will be conducting a coaching clinic during the week.

THOSE who didn’t make it to tennis last Saturday really missed a treat or two. Thanks to George van der Merwe, everyone could tuck into tasty savouries during the afternoon and then, in the evening, Raj Naganna produced the most delicious breyani in celebration of his birthday on Sunday. This was followed by Jill Badenhorst’s famous cheesecake and milk tart, so that we could all be part of her birthday celebrations as well.

It was good to have Jill and her husband, Ronnie, back at the club and it is hoped that Jill will be back on the courts again soon. It was unfortunate to hear that Raj’s wife, Pam, was out of sorts and hopefully she has now fully recovered. Thanks to Raj’s family for bringing the food and for doing the washing up.

Ian Iggleden was a welcome visitor and will be conducting a coaching clinic during the week. Heloise Cloete also came along and helped to swell the numbers. Saturday duties: Elena Whateley – April 5; May Wood – April 12.
