Volleyball knockout this Saturday
The premier league teams have already confirmed their participation in the tournament.
THE Port Shepstone Volleyball Association will host its third knockout tournament, the Siva Pillay Construction Cup, at the Marburg Sports Complex this Saturday, May 3.
The draws for the premier section will be done on May 1, at the volleyball complex. All the premier league teams have already confirmed their participation in the tournament.
Prenesen Naidoo of the volleyball association, said with the premier league reaching its halfway stage, all teams seem to be fairly match fit and coming in with settled squads.
“This should prove to be a close tournament, with the teams trying to dethrone the first two knockout winners, Falcons A and Mtwalume,” he said.
A social section will also be introduced for companies, religious organisations and other sporting clubs.
Social teams are urged to enter as the emphasis will be on having fun and promoting the sport of volleyball. The draws for the social section will be done on the day of the knockout.
If there is sufficient interest, a women’s section will also be catered for.
All matches will start at 2pm sharp.
