This year the competition has been dubbed The Halfway Toyota Super League.
THE 2014 Halfway Toyota Winter squash league kicks off tonight, May 15, with a total of 16 teams contesting the league. The league was founded over a quarter of a century ago and has been sponsored by the Jones family ever since.
This year, the format has been altered for the first time since inception and the competition has been dubbed The Halfway Toyota Super League.
The new format will see all teams competing in the same division in the first round before being divided into two pools based on first round placings. Only then will the two pools fight it out for ultimate victory in the separate divisions.
With the new format in place, this year’s league is guaranteed to be different and promises to be extremely festive.
