Gaby and Scooby conquer Gauteng

GABY Frey and her dogs have just returned from Gauteng where they attended the Bumper Agility Weekend. Once again Scooby came home laden with prizes and rosettes and the title of overall winner of the show and just gets better and better. Every time someone has a birthday, one hears the comment that age is just a number, and in Scooby`s case, this is definitely so.

Gaby Frey, Jenny Robertson, Tracy Norton and Sharon Derman attended the Bluff Dog Show in Scottburgh recently and all came home very pleased with the results, which were as follows:

Dog jumping: grade 2, KT and Gaby, 2nd; grade 3, Scooby and Gaby 1st; contact, grade 1, Jodie and Jenny, 1st with qualification; non-contact, grade 1, Jodie and Jenny, 3rd with qualification.

Tracy was very happy to see that Badger had regained his confidence and will now be entering shows again. I’s not always about winning, especially when working with animals, as they cannot tell us when they are apprehensive or not feeling well or just not interested at that particular moment. Humans are inclined to project emotions on the animal without trying to see things from the animal’s perspective. This was Charlie and Sharon’s first away show and he showed great potential.
