Cricket acclaim for Yogeshan
The Sheppie High pupil has flown the coast's flag with pride.
YOGESHAN Pillay, a matric pupil at Port Shepstone High, was over the moon when he won the U17 KZN Rural Player of the Season award at the Dolphins’ provincial dinner at Kingsmead recently.
He has played cricket from an early age and it’s no exaggeration to say that he eats, sleeps and breathes the sport.
He would love to make a career out of the game and will certainly continue playing once he leaves school.
Yogeshan is an all-rounder, so he knows that if he fails with the ball, he can make it up with the bat, and vice-versa.
He enjoys the team aspect of the sport, as well as the mental strategies that are involved.
