THE Port Shepstone Hockey Club men’s team took on Rivers 4 at Riverside last Sunday. It was a tough game as the men only went on the park with 10 players.
Rivers 4 conceded two early goals but Sheppie fought back to make it 2-2 at half-time. Sheppie played very well in the second half, scoring three more goals.
Warren van der Merwe put four in the back of the net for Sheppie and Greg Wiggmore one. Rivers scored once in the second half. The final score was 5-3 to Sheppie.
Practices are on a Tuesday and Thursday from 5.30 till 7pm at Creston. Subs for adults are R400 and scholars R120.
