South Coast karateka achieve colours

Karate is a martial art with a unique history, philosophy and set of techniques.

PART of the World Karate Federation (WKF), the Ugu karate team from Shito-Ryu South Coast has achieved KZN development colours (white to purple belt).

The team will be taking part in the WKF South Africa ‘All Styles Development Championship’ to be held in Tongaat in October.

The objectives of the WKF Ugu karate region are to uplift and improve the quality of karate by offering karate students (karateka) an opportunity to take part in all levels of competition and to improve skills by attending training sessions and workshops.

The aim of this national championship is to develop and encourage up-and-coming karateka achieve provincial and national status in karate.
