JOHANN Venter cleaned up at the recent Suid-Natal Primary golf day at San Lameer Country Club.
He carded 42 points to win by one from Wonder Nxumalo, and by two from Mot Moleele and Hennie van der Berg. On 37 points were Ronnie Naidoo and Nico Mantoan.
The women’s section was won by Beryl Olden on 37 points. Juan Buitendag was the best junior. Nearest the pins were Preggie Perumal (4th) and Craig Goliath (14th).

Southbroom quartet cleans up

SOUTHBROOM Golf Club hosted the annual Southern Region’s Lewis Reynolds Trophy last Sunday. Some 64 women competed for the trophy in absolutely perfect weather.
It was won by Southbroom ‘B’, namely Rene Matthew, Sandra Fitzgerald, Geraldine Treherne and Irene Schanda on 90 points.
The runners-up were Amanzimtoti’s Jacqui Porrill, Dalene Berry, Liz Donald and Brenda Morgan.
Best couple were Port Shepstone’s Beryl Olden and Lyn Mol on 45 points, on a countout from Geraldine Treherne and Irene Schanda.
