UMTENTWENI Tennis Club has played two league matches over the last two Sundays and, after being convincingly trounced by Douglas Mitchell the week before last, rallied round and managed to scrape a victory over Harding by two games.
Many thanks to both clubs for their hospitality and good tennis. There is one more match to be played, against Uvongo and the team is wished the best of luck.
Saturday before last, Rob Browne sent along a stunning array of eats – a meat and savouries platter, delicious cakes and, for that instant energy boost, bananas!
Thanks, Rob – a pity you weren’t there to see how everyone tucked in.
Members are reminded that the onus is on them to find a replacement for Saturday duty if they are going to be away.
