THE NPC Go-Getters GAIV (Group Action Ideal Volunteer) arranged an NPC U15 soccer tournament on Heritage Day (September 24).
The tournament was a huge success with the winning team, Port Shepstone Genesis FC beating Newtown FC 5-1 in the final.
NPC GAIV was formed by volunteer employees interested in working directly in the implementation of social action.
Sello Maripane, an NPC employee and one of the Go-Getters GAIV group, has been instrumental in establishing this U15 league on the South Coast.
Sixteen local teams took part in the play-offs for the event.
NPC provided food and refreshments for all the teams and thanked those who joined hands to make the day a success, such as sponsors Med-Evac, Frey’s Fresh Meat, Fidelity Security and Port Shepstone Recovery Centre.
