Red Devils crowned champions again

>

PRO-VISION’S Manchester United-Liverpool rivalry spilled out onto the fairways at Port Shepstone Country Club last Sunday. Local Manchester United supporters won their fifth title in six years over their Liverpool rivals, who, despite a few early transfer imports from Chelsea and Arsenal, could not turn the tables.

Liverpool scored more points on the day, 513 to Red Devils’ 502, but the score had to be divided by the number of golfers per team, which meant United clinched victory again by 1.4 points.

The best individual scores on the day were carded by Naveshin Moodley 45 points, Ronnie Naidoo 40, Ashoo Singh and Santhos Baskali on 39 points. The event was sponsored by the South Coast Herald.
