Petrol heads raise funds for Dale
Dezzi Raceway was invaded by some hot supercars and racing cars this week.
WET weather could not deter the motorsport enthusiasts who gathered for a fund-raising event at Dezzi Raceway in Oslo Beach on Tuesday this week.
The gathering was for BMW Car Club member, racing driver and fellow petrol head Dale Penney, who was diagnosed with brain cancer earlier this year.
He has undergone surgery on two occasions, and is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment.
The enthusiasts gathered in their numbers to support the worthy cause.
Those who attended had the opportunity to ride in one of many super cars. They could choose from Ferraris, Porsches, BMWs, Mercedes Benzes, Nissan GTRs and other racing cars.
R200 would have got you a ride around the track in a supercar of your choice.
The event was not a race though. It was an event to raise money for Dale’s treatment and all proceeds raised will go into a trust account set up for this.
