THE president and committee take this opportunity of wishing all members and their families a blessed Christmas and those travelling a safe journey.
The winners of the Shelly Beach Fruit and Veg City vouchers on Friday were Chris Forward, Dave Hume and Greg Bowden on 4+18. Rennie Geyer, John Richardson and Eric Chamier were runners-up on 4+14 and the session winners were Doug Campbell, Kevin Tod and Graham Fisher on 2+10.
There will be a ‘fun day’ on Sunday morning, December 28. Bring your friends and family along. There will be a bring and braai with salads provided. Eileen Abel can be contacted for more details.
Sunday morning bowls are played in mufti and everyone is welcome to come and join in a morning of fun – bowlers and non-bowlers are welcome.
Coaching is available for anyone interested in taking up the game of bowls, the only requirement is that flat soled shoes are worn. Eileen Abel can be contacted at 039 3122702 to make an appointment for coaching required during the week. Coaching will continue as usual every Saturday morning from 9am.

LOUISE Dry, Rob Lyle and Tony Smith won the mixed trips sponsored by High Rock Pub and Grill. Danie and Liz van der Post and Beryl Laurent were runners-up and the second session was won by Dave Hume, Trish Steyn and Mike Gower. Trish Steyn also won the board.
There is tabs in every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 1.30 for 2pm. Visitors can be sure of a warm welcome. Anyone requiring coaching should please contact Louise Dry (039 3192253/ 082 3262403) or David Lindley (039 3192495/082 4530017).
SOUTHBROOM
A very happy Christmas luncheon celebration took place at the club on Tuesday. The food was excellent, the socialising was very chatty and a spirit of fun and laughter pervaded the day. Thank you to the workers for making it a happy day.

HIBBERDENE
DANIE Human and Bubbles Bezuidenhout won the drawn pairs last Friday. Louise Shone and Miriam Seager were runners-up and the session prize was won by Dennis Lewis and Joey Venter. A big thank you to Chris Shone from Harcourts Scott Bay. There is no competition this coming Friday but social bowls as usual on Saturday afternoon.
Special congratulations to Vic and Margaret Hughes on the occasion of their 60th wedding anniversary. Have a good Christmas one and all, and a big thank you to Liz Coulson for taking our news to the Herald each week.
PORT EDWARD
MEMBERS and their families are wished a safe and merry festive season. The Zanokhanyo mixed pairs winners were Jokkie and Marianne van Buuren with Cliff Moakes and Pat Ruperto ‘hot on their heels’ in second place. Graham and Anjie Gold took the session prize.
There will be open tabs on December 24. Dress is casual and non-bowlers are welcome. There will be no twilight bowls on December 26 but tabs as normal on Saturday, December 27.
