Black provides a dash of colour
Some of the players hung around and were duly rewarded for their patience.
DESPITE the threat of rain, several stalwarts came to play at Umtentweni Tennis Club last Saturday and were joined by visitors, Colette Barnard and Jason Black.
A couple of sets were played before the rain came down and put an end to play for a while. All were then able to tuck into the sarmies, mince pies and chocolate cake brought along by Jean Marx who also arranged the sets.
Four players hung around after the others had given up hope of another game and were rewarded with the courts drying enough to have a final set!
There is a new duty list up at the club so please check out when you’re the lucky one and arrange a swap if you can’t make it on your allotted day.
Tweni members wish all tennis players on the coast a very blessed Christmas and a prosperous and healthy new year filled with great tennis.

The Duttons and the Silks are off to the Berg for Christmas and are wished safe travelling and a happy time in the mountains.
Visitors are reminded that social days are Wednesdays and Saturdays starting from about 2pm and all are very welcome to join in.
