Ernie coaches first ‘shotgun clinic’
The event was fully booked within the first week of advertising.
ALFRED County Branch of KZN Hunters struck again by arranging a first ever ‘shotgun clinic’. Ernie Henn travelled to Kokstad to make the day a great success by training members and other interested parties in the art of shotgun shooting.
Ernie kicked the day off with a briefing about the general operation of a shotgun and discussed possible mistakes people make when shooting at clay targets. Jacques Naude followed with a safety briefing and Cassie van der Spuy, Alfred County branch chairman, welcomed everybody.
The day was made possible by Mooidraai Guesthouse and the venue turned out to be perfect, with facilities such as the range itself, toilets, bar, food, shade, accommodation and lots more.
The event was fully booked within the first week of advertising and ended with 38 shottists taking part. Lunch comprised boerie rolls, followed by a delicious pig on the spit that carried the social get-together late into the night.
