WHAT a pleasure it has been to have so many visitors joining members for afternoon tennis at Umtentweni Tennis Club, both on Wednesdays and on Saturdays.
Last Saturday, for instance, saw five courts in use made possible by visitors Willem Erasmus, Grant Gordon, Trevor Harsant, Pieter and Johan Conradie, and Heloise Cloete.
Along with members, Foxy Norton (no doubt thanks to Tracy) upped the bar a notch or two with a grand array of mouth-watering eats – cherry cake, crunchies and sarmies, which all went down very well.
The annual general meeting will be held at the club on Saturday, January 30 at 2pm.
Members are requested to make every effort to attend.
Monday men’s tennis is still going well so anyone who would like to join in is welcome to come along from 2pm.
Members wish Dan Dimitriu’s brother Sorin a speedy recovery from his broken collar bone.
Dan celebrates his birthday on the 17th. Belated birthday greetings to Ben Strydom for the 9th.
Members are reminded that subs are now due so please get them in to Isabeau le Roux.
