BANNERS REST
THE Golden Moon Spur and Peter Bennett 2-4-2 mixed pairs played last Wednesday was won by Steve and Jenny Rennie.
In second were John Keppler and Leoni Booth, followed by Rob Lyle and Pat Brand. 50/50 board went to Ally Weir.
The HELP Foundation fund-raiser has been postponed to Sunday, April 9 from 9.30am. Next sponsored competition is the Tops Port Edward men’s pairs this Sunday (2nd).
HIBBERDENE
ARTHUR and Miriam Seager with Barbs Sates won the nominated trips last Friday, sponsored by Blue Waters Pub & Grill and Cutting Edge.
Second were Luke Pohl, Johannie Theron and Maureen Head. Session prize went to Brian Pirie, Hennie van Jaarsveld and Lorraine van Heerden.
Next comp is the mixed 2-4-2 sponsored by honorary life member Mike Hoyer, who turned 92 this month.
Umpires’ workshop next Tuesday (4th) at 9.30am.
MARGATE BC
THE annual Margate Week bowls tournament will be held from May 1 to 5 this year.

Gerry Davey, Gordon Ogilvie and André van Niekerk reached the semi-finals and shared bronze in the KBA men’s trips.
Winners of the Spur competition were Georgie McKechnie, Mannie Rodrigues, Heidi Bracegirdle and Sharon Scheinberg.
The Mugg & Bean 2-4-2 winners, on a countout, were Sandy and Ross Ferguson, Alison and Alan Dinning and Trevor Heywood and Barry Mollett.
Duty: office – Derek McKechnie; tea – Margaret Duffield and Ann Waugh.
MARGATE CC
WINNERS of the Warwick Wealth club trips were Billy Brown, Peter Griffiths and Dina van der Walt.
After the morning event the club enjoyed a great Build a Burger braai sponsored by Food Lover’s Market.
The club also wished a very sad good-bye to Billy Brown, leaving for pastures overseas and to Ria van Vuuren who travels up north.
Billy was a past president and has been a prominent bowler in the area.
Ria also contributed a great deal to bowls as an umpire and coach.
MUNSTER
TWILIGHT bowls this Friday (31st) at 4.30pm. Entrance fee is a plate of cocktail snacks, casual clothes.
High Rock mixed pairs next Wednesday (5th). Tea duty – Sergio Ruperto and Andrew Bromley-Gans.

THE Beaver Creek mixed trips were won by Gino Alilovic, Myra Doubell and Ken Simm. Runners-up were Dave Banks, Hazel and Dan Delaney.
Session went to Peter Ziervogel, Ally Weir and Sariena Ziervogel. Board winner was Jeannette Offer.
Winners of the Beach Bobbies’ March comp were Sergio Ruperto and Val Smith from Jokkie and Marianne van Buuren.
Session went to Peter and Sariena Ziervogel. Board to Audrey Nhlumayo.
Winner of the Scroungers 3-bowl singles last Sunday was Rob Lyle from Ken Simm. Marianne van Buuren won Plate A from Jens Andersen.
Elbé Snyman and Francien van der Merwe did battle in Plate B, with Elbé the eventual winner.
PSCC
NO less than 66 players took part in the monthly business day last Friday, sponsored by Cellular Page.
Winners were the mighty Quins, namely Jane Massam, Bob MacFarlane and Sandy Shepherd.
There was a three-way tie for the runners-up place which on a countout went to AMBC, namely being Delysia Mitchley, Brian and Pat Navias.
In the KBA trips, Roy Anderson, Mark Smith and Howard Frizelle reached the semi-finals.
RIVERSIDE
CONGRATULATIONS to John Gibson, Butch Bruce and Cobie Engelbreght who won the Hopden’s Spar open trips, followed by Jenny Bruce and Marie Straszacker.
Sessions went to Sharon Smith and Linda Hansell, Gerard, Ann Gibson and Joan Muir.

ALFRED Shusha, Trebla Lansdell and Wynand Bezuidenhout won the Tiago’s men’s trips last Tuesday.
Runners-up were Roy Robertson, Bill Parfitt and Geoff Oliver.
First session went to Steve Rennie, Aubrey Hood and John Keppler; second session to Barry Christie, Hein Bester and Bill Reed.

THE Harbour View SuperSpar women’s trips played last Thursday were won by Barbara Fernihough, Susan van Rooyen and Ann Marie Giblin.
Runners-up were Una van Eeden, Adele Reader and Val Boshoff.
Second session went to Jane Massam, Shirley Russouw and Lyn Harris.
Winter times from this Saturday (1st), so 1pm for 1.30pm for tabs in. Property Port mixed trips this Sunday (2nd).
THE BELL
MAUREEN Muller, Cindy McMurtry and Tina Barbour won gold at the KBA women’s trips.
Silver went to Maureen Head, Johannie Theron and Michelle Vermeulen and bronze to Daphne Sapsford, Barbara Gradwell and Mada Lindeque.
Winners of the BMW sponsored day were Brian Pirie, Albert Munnik, Sylvia Pirie and Alida Munnik.
Runners-up were Phil Myburgh, Lynden Wright, Brian Sapsford and Phil Viljoen.
Session went to Tammy Gibbons, Trevor Mann, Peter Anderson and Brett Pollington.
There will be a general meeting next Wednesday (5th) at 5pm, with regards to club colours.
TWENI
DUMISANI Madlala and Carol Oaks won the recently played Harbour View SuperSpar mixed trips.

The session prize went to Steve Doran, George Choromanski, Daphne Hounsell and Lynn Harris.
Well done to Peter Clark, Tony Aveyard and Dumisani Madlala on winning their section of the KBA men’s trips last Saturday. Unfortunately, they lost in the next round.
