Audi Q2 – solid, smooth and sporty

The staff at Audi Centre Margate invite you to come and experience the new Audi Q2 at the showroom, first hand, to see what the excitement is all about.

COMFORT, strength and agility are probably the three things that come to mind after driving the Audi Q2 1.4 TFSi Sport S tronic recently.

The one I drove was a stunning Mythos black in colour.

Inside, it was quite sublime in terms of comfort and class and felt a bit like relaxing in a ‘Lazy Boy’ in front of the TV.

Sporty lines on the Audi Q2.

I found it very solid on the road, able to handle any type of road South Africa can dish up – the odd crater-like pothole didn’t frighten it.

On the highway it was smooth and agile, wonderful road holding and bliss to drive.

Its 1.4-litre engine kicks out 110kW at 250Nm.

That’s more than enough to zip ahead of anything slightly slow-moving and especially so up a hill.

The 7-speed S tronic gives you options and gets from zero to 100km/h in 8.5 seconds.

It has a top speed of 212km/h.

Test drive one now: The new, ‘untaggable’ Audi Q2 is available at Audi Centre Margate.

Fuel consumption on a 50-litre tank is a very tidy 5-l/100km combined cycle (urban 6.4l and extra-urban 5.8l).

Co2 (combined cycle, tested at sea level in a controlled environment) was 123g/km.

Luggage capacity is 405l/1050l.

Options fitted include a panoramic sunroof, and a contrast grey parking system plus with selective display and brushed aluminium inlays.

Audi South Africa is proud to extend its Q family with a compact SUV, the all new Audi Q2.

An urban vehicle perfect for everyday driving and recreation, blending youthful styling and technology with a high level of functionality.

The sporty yet compact SUV with allroad genes and coupé design is a new entrant into the premium A0-SUV segment of the market and it’s one all-rounder determined to go beyond merely ticking the boxes.

Anton Kinsey-Ahlers said the staff at Audi Centre Margate are very excited about the new, sporty Audi Q2.

At first glance the Audi Q2 already shows its muscles, and with broad shoulders and angular styling, it is brimming with energy and confidence.

The low roofline and high window line give the sporty car a coupé-like look and a crouching stance on the road.

Especially striking are the wedge-shaped headlights, the high position of the single-frame grill and the generously sized air intakes.

“It’s designed to provide an attractive alternative for range-climbers within the Audi range,” said Anton.

The Q2 has also helped rejuvenate the brand through progressive new design and will entice customers with ground-breaking highlights, including virtual cockpit, head-up display, connectivity, new assistance systems and powerful engines.
