Defence force golfers tee it up at Port Shepstone Country Club
About 110 players are taking part in the South African National Defence Force golf championship.
THE South African National Defence Force Golf Championship is being held at the Port Shepstone Country Club. The championship started on Tuesday this week and will continue to this Friday, May 12.
The championship is being held between all qualifying SA National Defence Force golfers and is held to test their skills and perseverance and to determine a single winner of each category, as well as giving players an opportunity to compete within the SANDF.

On Monday the golfers played a practice round. Lieutenant-Colonel Blackie Swart won the day with a gross score of 74 with 41 points.
On Tuesday the championships were officially opened by the patron of SA National Defence Force (SANDF) Golf, Brigadier General Ashton Sibango.
The championships will be played over four days in the form of strokeplay competition. A total of 110 players will take part from all parts of South Africa.
