Schools in Ugu District prepare for volleyball compo
The final schools' tournament will be held next Saturday.
THE countdown to the final schools’ volleyball competition has begun. Scheduled for Saturday, May 13 at the Marburg Sports Complex, this final tournament of the season is being hosted by the Port Shepstone Volleyball Association.
Schools taking part are reminded tournament entries close on Monday, May 8 at 2pm. Entry forms may be faxed to 086 5611040 or 039 6827491 or emailed to psvolleyball@gmail.com Unfortunately, as this is a pre-entry tournament with draws and fixtures being done a week in advance, no late entries will be accepted.

The tournament is open to all schools within the Ugu District.
The entry fee for the tournament is R100 per team. Schools can enter as many teams as they wish, provided they conform to the following agreed divisions (U-11, U-13, U-16 and Over 16 divisions) and the qualifying year of birth.
Following the controversies that arose at the previous schools’ volleyball tournament, all schools taking part must attach their team members’ birth certificates / ID documents to the official team lists.
All documents must be certified by the school principal and team lists signed off. All teams will be subjected to age verification before the tournament commences.
Schools which do not comply and found to be violating the strict age qualification will be disqualified and may be expelled from the tournaments.
