The Tops Port Edward men's pairs played on June 4 was won by Dave Hume and Leigh Warner.

BRIAN Cole-Cook and Janet Venter won the G.P. Security mixed pairs played on June 2 from runners-up Joe Ashworth and Leone Bloem. Second session went to Rob Lyle and Phillipa Rowney and the 50/50 board to Rob Lyle.

The Tops Port Edward men’s pairs played on June 4 was won by Dave Hume and Leigh Warner. Steve Rennie and Andreas van der Linde were second. The 50/50 board went to Rod Phelps.

ALAN Gibson and Cedric Glanfield won the Halfway Toyota men’s 2-4-2 on June 2. Trevor Heywood and Barry Mollett were runners-up and the session went to Manny Rodrigues and Henry Jacobs. Johnny Louch won the 50/50.

Social bowls is played every Sunday morning at 9am. A coaching clinic will be held on Wednesday, June 14 at 1.30pm.

Runners-up were Hazel Hosken, Betty Bolton, Maureen Roach and Dawn Oehley on 21+7. Betty Bolton won the 50/50 draw. The Engel & Volkers men’s fours will be played on Friday, June 16.

MARGATE Retirement Village is thanked for hosting our last outing on Sunday, June 4.

Congratulations to the winners, Austen Knollys, Gae Gravell and Vicky de Beer (10+26). Lenie Geyer, Mike Ryan and Maureen Rouch were second on 8+1.The sportsman prize – John Sutton, Yvonne James and Denise Card (0-19). Nearest-the-jack – Leone Bloem and Ross Ferguson won the 50/50 prize.

THE KBA is thanked for hosting a skills clinic at Southbroom.

Due to the KBA men’s pairs being played this Saturday, June 10, there will be no tabs in but everyone is invited to join members for a fun afternoon on Saturday, June 17. Tabs in at 1.30pm. Entry fee is R20. Dress code is mufti and the afternoon will end with ‘Soup and Sherry by Candlelight’.

As the club is hosting an all-day KBA pairs round robin on Saturday, June 10, there will be no tabs in.
