Golfers lay down the law at Port Shepstone Country Club
There was a pretty good turnout on the day.
AS usual, there was quite a buzz when the annual Construction Industry Golf Day took place at Port Shepstone Country Club last Friday.
There were 96 players in the field and overall, the day was well supported by all.
Overall winners on nett 51,875 was team Barry, Botha and Breytenbach, comprised of Piet Fourie, Jaco van dar Wal, Heber de Beer and Johan Neethling.
Runners-up on nett 53 was Bucco Ramsgate, followed by Comfort Cool on nett 53.25.
Winners of the best dressed hole on the day was the Kencrete team, namely Nicola Kendall and Melanie Tilley.
The previous Wednesday’s competition was won by Mathys Eckhout and Bevis Fairbrother on 77 points, by one from James Coull and Dave Milne.
In third place on 72 points were Charles Hulley and Jimmy Parsons.
Saturday’s alliance (three scores to count) was won on 128 points by Steve McCarroll, Shaun Nathanson, Mark Smith and Fred van Zyl.
They pipped Jimmy Parsons, Terry Kotze, Craig Lindsay and Rob Calder by one point. Third spot went to Ralph vd Berg, James Coull, Abel Yeeranna and a ‘ghost’ on 125 points.
The Restoration Cup, sponsored by Halfway Toyota Shelly Beach, takes place this weekend.
