Colin McKay shows medal mettle at Southbroom Golf Club
The course is in good winter condition.
COLIN McKay won the men’s monthly medal on nett 65 at Southbroom Golf Club last Wednesday, two ahead of Peter Leeming and John McLean.
Julie Walker won the women’s competition on a score of 34 points.
The open day shootout last Friday was won by Ulrich Gous, Vusi Maphumulo, Koko Zithumane and Mnqobi Gogo.
Runners-up were Dave and Eileen Neilson, with Joe and Mary Carolan.
Third spot went to Osie Osborne, Bob Clark, Spike Holly and Paul Lawson.

Saturday’s Adamson Trophy was won by Jean Corfe on 38 points, by three from Sandy Fitzgerald and Jeanne Powell.
The men’s Frank Eyles Trophy saw Peter Leeming benefit from the countout after carding 37 points.
Not so fortunate were George Haswell, Eric Sandstrom and Olliver Ransome.
In fifth were Erwin Schanda and Graham Volck on 36 points, counting out Stuart Janvier, Errol Amm and Jim Cook.
