Keith Duncalf cleans up at Margate CC

Scores have been good this week.

KEITH Duncalf won Week 29 of the Carriera/Curlewis Cup at Margate Country Club last Thursday.

He carded 42 points to win by one from Fanie Terblanche. One further behind was Mike Lee.

Sponsors were Margate Pro Shop, Atmosphere and Smokey Joe’s.

Nearest the pins were John Crewe (4th) and Carlos Perreira (16th).

Saturday’s betterball alliance was won on 50 points by Joe Espach and Fanie Terblanche.

Runners-up were Bob Weanie and Dave Morrison on 49 points, followed by Derek Egerton and Bob Weanie (pivot) on 48 points.

Nearest the pins were Pierre Malherbe (4th) and John Crewe (16th).

The women’s comp was won by Hilary Hendry on 36 points, counting out Hannetjie Pretorius.

The Wobblers’ comp the previous Wednesday was won on 98 points by Konnie Konrad, Wolfgang Kanzler, Johan Holshof and Hans Dallinger.

Runners-up were Otto Mutschler, Dolf Willemse, Brian Jeffreys and Bob Weanie on 95 points, counting out Freddie Boshoff, Piet Pretorius, Nico van Vuuren and André Henn.

The Arthur Tomlinson Floater went to Cyril Greensmith, Jim Finn, Dave Morrison and Rob McGill on 87 points.

Last Tuesday’s medal Stableford was won Hilary Hendry with Lizzie Meyer the runner-up.
