Pro’s team takes business day honours at Port Shepstone Country Club
The club had a number of visitors from other clubs this week.
LAST week Friday’s business day, which attracted 94 players, was won on 96 points by the Pro Shop team, namely Jesse Verster, Steve McCarroll, Tony Fairbairn and John Beekman.
Runners-up on 95 points were Annie Stoppel, Cilla Lindsay, Kim Strauss and Cecelia Verster.
In third place on 94 points were Kevin Loring, Smittie Stieger, Thys Eckhout and Gloria Lundie.
Gary Purtell popped in for a visit at Port Shepstone Country Club last Wednesday, as Southbroom Golf Club is having spring treatment.
He chalked up 42 points to win the comp by three from Greg Hornby and Mathys Eckhout.
Saturday’s Auto Exec Monthly Mug saw some solid scores returned.
The individual Stableford was won on 42 points by Anton Bouwer, followed by Lizzie Currie and Dave Milne on 41 points.

A division top three were Gavin van Wyk (nett 68), Paul Geoffery (nett 70) and Kirk Larson (nett 71).
In the B division top honours went to Ricky Naidoo (nett 68), Barry Oehme (nett 71) and Stewart Betts (nett 72).
When it came to the C division, Terry Kotze had nett 73, Mot Moleele nett 75 and Ewald Ziervogel nett 79.
Best gross was recorded by Graham Fabricius, a 73, which isn’t great by his standards.
The overall mug winner was Willem Lindeque, with nett 68.
