HIBBERDENE

WINNERS of the Hibberdene Pharmacy drawn mixed trips were Gloria Gerrard, Werner Mody and Helene Oosthuizen.

Runners-up were Riaan van den Berg, Lionel France and Desirée van den Berg.

Session prize went to Albert Munnik, Pauline Howle and Louis Gerber.

Suzuki South Coast competition this Friday (15th). Green will be closed from next Monday (18th).

MARGATE BC

THE Food Lover’s Market competition winners were Annette Payne, Eric Chamier, Louis Fouche and Rob Miller.

Runners-up were James Mitchell, Derek McKechnie, Henry Jacobs and Barry Mollett.

Mugg and Bean comp winners were Pam Cole Cook, Ellen Cawker and Franci Philpott.

Runners-up were Allan Gibson, Yvonne James and Ann Gibson.

Social bowls every Sunday at 9am. Duty: office – Gerry Davey; tea – Sharon Scheinberg/Ann Gibson.

PORT EDWARD

Thanks to those who helped with the top dressing and ditch boards, as well as maintenance to the clubhouse.

Sundowners at 4pm this Friday, the prize-giving has been moved to the September 27 at 4pm.

Well done to Leoni Booth and Marianne van Buuren on being two of the 12 women invited to the KBA Masters.

SOUTHPORT

JAN Scholtz and Nellie Davies won the South Coast Herald mixed 2-4-2.

Runners-up were Tammy Gibbons and Artur Lopes. Session went to Shirley and Don Russouw.

Thanks to Jane Massam and her assistant Kitty Cochman for the scrumptious lunch served on Sunday.

The Interclub women’s trips will be played today (14th) at the club.

Bowling times now 1.30pm for 2pm.

MUNSTER

WORK on the greens has started and the rains will help a great deal.

Prize-giving luncheon this Saturday (16th) at 1pm for 1.30pm. Cost is R40, please ring Margaret to book.

NOMADS

IT was a wonderful day for the Nomads at Southbroom Bowling Club last Sunday, with prizes sponsored by Keg & Galleon in Margate.

Winners were Austin Knollys, Marie Pick and Georgie Pick. In second place were Malcolm Milne, Leoni Bloem and Cas Benade.

Sportsman prize to Danny Terblance, Margie Purkins and Myra Doubell.

Next outing on October 8, venue to be confirmed.

RIVERSIDE

WELL done to Ray Visser, Ferro van Greunen and Phillip Pretorious, winners of the Hopdens Spar drawn trips.

They were followed by Madge Nicolson, Codie Engelbrecht and Gerald Crerar.

Sessions to Heather Flyng, Chrissie Chancellor and Sharon Smith, as well as Chummy Smith, Rita Roux and Stefan Helberg.

SOUTHBROOM

CONGRATULATIONS to Hazel Hosken, Norman Isherwood, Ivan Hosken and Dawn Oehley on winning the Mariner’s open fours.

Runners-up were Alfred Shusha, Mike Jacquet, Nico Mantoan and Lorraine Wijtman.

First session to Steve Rennie, John Keppler, Aubrey Hood and Jenny Rennie.

Second session to John Richards, James Mitchell, Hans van der Walt and Mike Lyall.

AGM on September 29 at 6pm, then green closes for maintenance.

THE BELL

WINNERS of the Captain’s Anchor mixed fours were Maureen Head, Johannie Theron, Barry Krause and Phil Viljoen.

Runners-up were Hew Hodgson, Renzo van Niekerk, Daphne Hounsell and Caroline Harris.

Second session to Willy Knott, Ricky Roberson, Therese Barron and Dennis Schmidt.

TWENI

STEVE O’Moore and Barry Krause won the South Coast Herald men’s pairs from Tony Johnson and Len Rossler.

Peter Marsh and Peter Browning won the session prize.

Next competition is the Wimpy women’s pairs on Thursday, September 21 at 9am.

VILLAGE

HIBISCUS Retirement Village’s men’s trips was won by Ron Canning, Reg Sanders and Rennie Geyer, followed by Barry Christie, Norman Isherwood and Derrick Shell, on a count out.

Sessions went to Clive Bignell, Hazel Hosken and Ken Habben and to Danny and Vernon Clements and Brent Addison. Gerald Crerar won the 50/50.

Next competitions is the Martin Electronics men’s 2-4-2 next Thursday (21st).

Tabs in Hyundai drawn mixed trips will be played this Saturday (16th), with tabs in by 1.15pm.

AGM is on Friday, September 29.
