Super scoring at Southbroom Golf Club

It's proving to be a popular competition.

Southbroom Golf Club members must really enjoy eating out at Casa Toscana Restaurant, such was the quality of the golf last Saturday.

With meal vouchers up for grabs, the scores tipped over the 50 point mark.

There was some breeze, but the course was soft and receptive to birdies and pars.

In the end, Jim Cook and Paul Lawson won on 51 points.

They counted out the Fox brothers, John and Dave. In third place were Norman Farrell and John Neaves on 49 points.

In the women’s section, first prize went to Della Kempthorne and Sharon Turnbull-Jackson on 45 points.

Runners-up were Sandra Luus and Jeanette Peyios on 40 points, who counted out Lorraine Cook and Irene Schanda.
