Could you beat a bass master?
The bass fishermen are not afraid to try new and different things.
The South Coast Bass Association is entering a planning phase for a monthly ‘Beat the Pros’ competition, at which anglers will be invited to fish against members of the SCBA for cash prizes and possible gift packs.

This initiative will replace the annual South Coast Bass Classic but promises to be great fun and fishing, especially since it will be held more frequently.
The club is hoping to attract lots of anglers and poses a challenge to everyone to try and beat the SCBA bass masters.
Meanwhile the SCBA had its monthly fish-off in Paddock on a private farm dam recently.
It was a great day for fishing, when 12 anglers took part, catching 35 fish which were weighed.
It was the most productive fishing trip recorded on the fishing calendar for the club this year.
Ferro van Greunen won the day with a total of 8.8 points recorded on his weigh sheet.
Five anglers made the limit of five fish at the weigh station, which was also very good.
The SCBA received its new kit and members were proud to display the new shirts.
Chairman Anthony Card was thanked for his efforts, as was sponsor M-Projects from Durban.
