HIBBERDENE

The annual prize-giving was held last month.

Women’s and men’s novices were won by Nora Swart and Martin Rautenbach.

The handicap women’s singles was won by Alida Munnik and the men’s by Hennie van Jaarsveld.

Mixed men’s pairs was won by Albert Munnik and Frances Raymond.

Women’s pairs was won by Annetjie Human and Sandy Shepherd.

The men’s pairs winners were Danie Human and Riaan van den Berg.

Women’s singles champion is Gail van Nikkelen-Kuyper who was also the runner-up in the KBA singles.

Brian Perie won the men’s singles champs.

Fond farewell to Danie and Annetjie Human who have gone to live in Alberton.

Also, farewell to Riaan and Desirée van den Berg who have gone to live in Umkomaas.

MARGATE BC

The Spur competition last week was won by Manny Rodrigues, Yvonne Bausek, Henry Jacobs and Alex Forrest.

Food Lover’s Market winners were Pam Cole-Cook, Ellen Cawker and Franci Philpott.

Runners-up were Gordon Ogilvie, Allan Gibson and Anne Gibson. Session prize to Annette Payne, Barbara Iceton and Dina van der Walt.

50/50 board was won by Rene Hannaway.

Mugg & Bean women’s trips this Friday (20th) at 9am.

Quiz evening next Wednesday (25th) at 6.30pm. Social and new bowls every Sunday at 9am.

Duties: Office – Ellen Cawker; tea – Annette Saunders, Georgie McKechnie.

PORT SHEPSTONE

The Scottburgh Hypersure 7s took place at Scottbugh BC last weekend.

The competition was fierce, but a great deal of fun was had.

Port Shepstone won the event, with the team comprising Brian and Jenny Rawlins, Lyndon Wright, Keith Mills, Eddie Fann, Barbara Gradwell and Kevin Lancaster.

VILLAGE

Winners of the Hibiscus Insurance Brokers mixed trips were Mike Prinsloo, Hans van der Walt and Maureen Roach.

Runners-up were Gary Hess, Derek Schorn and Dawn Oehley.

Sessions went to Barrie Christie, Norman Isherwood and Aileen Ward and to Carl Volker, Chris Allan and Rosalie Bloom, with the 50/50 to Dave Garland.
