Morné Bishop’s effort not quite enough

Other runs came from Matt Redinger (12), Sachin Kalkapersad (28), Gareth Bishop (27), Ahmed Moolla (4), with Gershion Lawrence 1 not out.

Morné Bishop made 81 runs for the Southern KwaZulu-Natal cricket team in a T20 Challenge match against Umbilo Harlequins at Umlazi Comtech last Sunday, but it wasn’t enough to prevent a two wicket loss.

It was a very tight match, with Harlequins getting there with three balls to spare, finishing on 167 for 8.

Sahal Mansur was the pick of the bowlers with 3 for 28. Lawrence was also tidy, with 1 for 28.

Redinger made some inroads, with 2 for 34.

Gareth Bishop kept the runs down a bit, but was unable to strike as he usually does and ended up with 0 for 30.

Y Moosa didn’t have his best game, finishing with 0 for 40.
