Track Torque: Lewis Hamilton is world champion for fourth time
The world champ for 2017 enjoyed what was not much more than a Sunday afternoon cruise.
Lewis Hamilton finished ninth in the Mexican Grand Prix and, in the process, cruised home to a fourth world championship title for himself and Mercedes-Benz.
He has driven extremely well all season and pushed his great talent to the limit on several occasions. He deserves the championship.

Max Verstappen drove another terrific race in his Red Bull Renault.
Leaving the starting grid like greyhound, he dominated the race from the start to the chequered flag for another ‘man of the race’ award.
Unfortunately Sebastien Vettel, Lewis Hamilton and Verstappen came together at the start and only Verstappen got off scot-free.
The other two had to go to the pits for new hardware and, as a result, were pushed back in the race.
Hamilton was in last position for some time, while Vettel proceeded in a very determined way to carve his way through the field to a final fourth position.
Valtteri Bottas was second and Kimi Raikkonen third.
Estaban Ocon gave us another good race to finish fifth in his Force India Mercedes while local yokel Sergio Perez in the other Force India came home only seventh.
The Mexican had been performing really well all weekend and it was a disappointment for him that these positions could not have been reversed.
Again the normal number two showed up his senior partner at Williams Mercedes with Lance Stroll finishing sixth, while Felipe Massa came in out of the points in 11th position.
We now have Lewis Hamilton, Sebastien Vettel and Alain Prost all with four world titles, while Juan Manuel Fangio has five and Michael Schumacher seven.
Roll on to Brazil’s autodromo Jose Carlos Pace for the next Grand Prix on November 12 where Jaun Pablo Montoya holds a 13-year-old lap record.
