South Shore surfers to tee it up at Southbroom Golf Club

Sand, and avoiding it, is a common denominator between the two sports.

THE Ugu Surfriders junior team is to take part in the Sea Harvest South African Junior Surfing Championships to be held at J-Bay from October 2 to 7.

The team comprises a talented bunch of juniors who will be coached by pro surfer Heather Clark.

TEAM

U12 – Kira Attfield, Luc Lepront and Evan Peyios.

U14 – Landon Windvogel, Axel Anthony, JJ Hoffman, Evan Spittal and Louise Lepront.

U16 – Jordan Boshoff, Caden Coetzee, Ayanda Mpisane, Lwando Dlezi, Jesse Powell and Maya Attfield.

U18 – Tyler May, Senzo Shange, Skye Russel, Ziggy Borstlap and Chalize Coetzee.

The juniors need to pay their own way so some of them – the members of South Shore Surf Club – are holding a golf day at Southbroom Golf Club on Sunday, July 22.

South Shore has at least seven members in the team, with others from further up the coast, like Scottburgh.

For more information about the golf day, to play or sponsor, contact Louis Boshoff at 082 7812491.

Alternatively, contact the Southbroom pro shop at 039 3166051.
