Eddie and Pam take top honours

The men’s and women’s open and veterans’ singles have come to a conclusion.

Winner of the men’s open singles was Port Shepstone’s Eddie Fann.

Runner-up was The Bell’s Luke Pohl and in joint third were Riverside’s Shane Nienaber and Dion Audie.

The women’s open singles winner was Margate BC’s Pam Cole-Cook.

Runner-up was Scottburgh’s Saowanee Whitehouse and in joint third were Margate’s Vi Pells and Port Edward’s Leoni Booth.

The winner of the men’s veteran’s singles was Port Shepstone’s Lynden Wright.

Runner-up was Margate’s Ken Tonge and in joint third place were Hibberdene’s Eddie Milne and Riverside’s John Gibson.

The women’s veteran singles winner was AMBC’s Liesje de Rosner.

Runner-up was Hibberdene’s Gail van Nikkelen Kuyper and in joint third place were The Bell’s Daphne Sapsford and Margate’s Georgie McKechnie.

Winners of the recent pairs competitions were Kobie Stander and Dora Vosloo (Margate CC) from Daphne Sapsford and Mada Lindque (The Bell).

In joint third place were Sharolyn Dacey and Tina Barbour (The Bell) and Ann Gibson and Georgie McKechnie (Margate BC).

Men’s winners were Shane Nienaber and Ross Ferguson (RSC) from John Chamier and Mike Mordaunt (AMBC).

Joint third were Alex Bukes and Hennie van Jaarsveneld (Hibberdene) and Richard van Waltsleven and Len Brickhill (AMBC).

BANNERS REST

Warwick mixed trips winners were Joe Ashworth, John Keppler and Leoni Booth.

Placed second were Chris Forward, Janet Venter and Jenny Rennie.

Port Edward Tops men’s pairs was won by Joe Ashworth and Chris Pozyn. Placed second were Barry Turner and Aubrey Hood.

GP Security mixed pairs next Tuesday (24th) and Tiago’s 2-4-2 mixed pairs next Wednesday (25th).

HIBBERDENE

Hibberdene Pharmacy mixed trips winners were Chris Snyman, Gill Rule and Lorraine van Heerden.

Runners-up were Bez Bezuidenhout, Hana Svoboda and Louise Shone.

Session to Albert Munnik, Alida Munnik and Louise Snyman

Suzuki South Coast mixed trips this Friday (20th).

MARGATE BC

Georgia Spur tabs winners were Trevor Heywood, Rennie Geyer, John Wevell and Neels (no surname supplied).

Food Lover’s Market two-bowl trips winners were Rodney Winnan, Sam du Toit and Ferro van Greunen.

Runners-up were Barry Mollett, Maureen McLemon and Rob Jackson.

Session to Ian Hutton, Trixi Smith and Dennis Rehbock.

Graeme Pollock business lunch this Friday (20th) at 12.20pm.

MARGATE CC

Shelly Beach SuperSpar trips was won by Brian Douthwaite, Olwen Gibbs and Billy Eccles.

Runners-up were Kobie Stander, Gae Gravell and Eileen Lloyd.

First session went to Graham Gold, Anji Gold and Cindy Cano; second session went to Peter Griffiths, Dora Vosloo and Marie Rogers.

MUNSTER

Mariners open trips winners were Mike Gower, Derek Wick and Myra Doubell.

Runners-up were Chris Green, Anthony Card and Lennie Prinsloo. Second session to Cliff Moakes, Phil Longden and Denise de Witt.

Cow Shed/Spar Tops men’s pairs winners were Piet Heunis and Rob Payne.

Runners-up were Willie van Jaarsveldt and Mike Gower. Session to Hennie Pretorius and Fanie Kruger.

Hibiscus Brokers mixed trips next Thursday (26th) thus no tabs in the afternoon.

PORT EDWARD

Winners of the Cowshed sponsored two-bowl mixed trips were Chris Green, Mac Mackenzie and Francien van der Merwe, from Leigh Warner, Roger Humphrey and Leoni Booth.

Second session went to Gawie Bosman, Ken Simm and Penny Adamson.

No social tabs in this Saturday (21st) as the club will be hosting Amanzimtoti BC for its annual challenge.

RIVERSIDE

Well done to Rod Winnan, Ann Gibson and Sam du Toit on winning the Hopdens drawn trips, followed by Ray Visser, Pauleen Dunlop and Edith Button.

Sessions went to John Gibson, Jannie van der Nest and Bruno Lolli, as well as Jenny Bruce, Sean Larkin and Phillip Pretorius.

THE BELL

The open trips sponsored by Jaxx/1st Choice Home Cleaning was won by Sharolyn Dacey, Winnie Hess and Kilina Pretorius.

In second place were Rynier van Tonder, Rick Roberson and Frikkie van Rensburg.

Session prize went to Tammy Gibbons, Galeen van den Berg and Tony Aveyard.

The Warwick sponsored tabs in club competition was very well supported with cash prizes up to sixth place and every participant on the receiving end of a gift.

Tabs in are played every Wednesday and Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings. All welcome.

TWENI

The Schooner’s mixed trips was won by Keith Mills, Tammy Gibbons and Peter Anderson.

Runners-up were Corrie Smit, Daphne Hounsell and Jenny Graham.

Session prize went to Johnny Meyer, Astrid Jackson and Len Rossler.

South Coast Herald men’s pairs went to Luke Pohl and Robbie Duyts, from runners-up Bez Bezuidenhout and Brian Pirie.

Session prize was won by Johnny Meyer and Derick Cilliers.

VILLAGE

Hibiscus Insurance Brokers mixed trips winners were Graham and Angie Gold, with Richard Griffin.

Runners-up were Danny Terblanche, Helen Proctor and Glen Hatfield.

Sessions went to Norman Isherwood, Alli Mitchell and Maureen Roach as well as to Kevin, Willy and Edith Button.
