Daan Swanepoel pulled off one the biggest upsets in recent club championships history by winning the Port Shepstone Country Club strokeplay title last weekend.
He scored 156 over the two rounds to edge out more fancied players James Coull who finished second on 157 and was best junior.

In a tie for third were past champion Graham Fabricius and newcomer Kirk Larsen, on 158.
It was an emotional victory for Daan as it was completely unexpected.
He had rounds of 77 and 79, but in his previous 20 rounds he has not come close to breaking 80.
Daan also won best nett for 36 holes and best senior golfer.
Graham would normally have been expected to win, but his wife is facing a major health challenge, and no one really expected him to even play.

There was much support for him, and especially when he made a nine on the 17th on the Saturday which led to an 84.
B division honours went to Mot Moleele on 170, by one from Yugs Naidoo, who was two ahead of Santhos Baskali.
The C division was won by Graham Dickson on 195 gross, by four from Sheldon van der Merwe.
Ewald Ziervogel was third on 202.
Veterans winner was Dawie Griesel on 68 points, from Roly Shaw on 59 points.
