Gerald knocks out Tap in tennis champs
Congratulations to all the others who got through and well tried those who didn't make it.
CLUB championships got off to a cracking start at Umtentweni Tennis Club last Saturday with the match of the day being that between Tap Kruger and Gerald Bunge which lasted for more than two hours.
Gerald eventually emerged victorious with the score being 7-6, 7-6. Well played, both of you.

Please remember to be at the club this Saturday at 12pm for the next round of men’s singles as well as those who are in the back draw.
Men’s doubles will follow at about 1.45pm and mixed doubles will be played after the other matches have been completed.
A friendly reminder to those wishing to play social tennis that all the courts will be used for championships till about 2pm and thereafter there will be courts available for those not playing champs.
Belated birthday greetings go to our nonagenarian honorary member, Doug Kjonstad for the 4th and members wish him well for the coming year.
It’s Tisch Roos’s birthday today, the 6th, and members are pleased that he is back home for his special day.
