Off the Hook: Know your limits

Some hefty fines have already been issued, so be warned!

GAME fish seem to have gone off the bite recently.

Most boats which launched last week reported poor catches, with just one angler hooking a decent-sized dorado.

Paddle-ski fishermen fared slightly better, catching one or two tuna.

Shore fishermen have still had some tight lines with a number of shad in evidence, especially in and around the Kelso area.

Anglers are reminded to stick to the bag limits as the authorities are keeping a close eye out.

The currents haven’t been too strong lately, although last weekend the surf was rather hectic which made boat launches a little bumpy.
