Times of restoration at Sheppie

The previous Wednesday's Individual Bonus Bogey was won by Kevin Govender on +6, with Gerald Koch next on +3. Rob Calder was third on +2.

It was a busy and festive time, despite the looming lockdown, at Port Shepstone Country Club last weekend for the annual Restoration Trophy, sponsored by Halfway Toyota Shelly Beach.

Club chairman Ryan Ringo and Craig Engelbrecht were the best pair over the two days on 87 points, but overall honours went to Fred Stopforth, Colin Nel, Geoff and Leigh Geoff Phillips on 162 points.

Colin and Fred finished second best pair on 86 points, with Niel Retief and Christo Janse van Vuuren in third place on 84 points.

Funds raised were used to buy a rough mower, which may come as a relief to some as some had grown to US Open standards in summer!

Chairman Ringo thanked all for the incredible support shown for the club during the weekend.

The bowlers were at it as well, with a fantastic response.

Winners of the main event were Eddie Fann Caroline Harris and Nico De Jong, from Geoff Hudson, Marco Pallini and Peter Stoppel.

In the plate event, there was consolation for Luke Pohl, Johannie Theron and Charmaine van der Westhuizen, with runners-up Jane Massam, Alan Booth and Julia Peacock.
