Gail is KBA women’s veterans singles champion

It was a wonderful result for the consistently good bowler.

The KBA singles semi-finals and finals were played on last Sunday.

Congratulations to Gail van Nikkelen-Kuyper on winning the women’s veterans section.

Liesje de Rosner and Helen Turk were joint third.

In the men’s section Fred Hutchins came third.

AMBC is honoured to have such talented bowlers as members.

The monthly men’s trips, sponsored by J Leslie Smith & Company In, was played on July 7.

Winners were Tony Simpson, Brian Navias and Keith Findlay with a score of 4+15.

Runners-up, from Sezela, were Malcolm Swanby, Jerry Davey and Ian Adam with a score of 4+14.

Second session went to the Widenham team of Trevor Spring, Steven Curtis and Chris van der Merwe with a score of 2+10.

The Marriott Mixed 2-4-2 were played on July 12.

Winners were Kevin and Sandy O’Donoghue with a score of 4+25.

Runners-up, with a score of 4+4, were Bob Elliott and Norma Boyd.

Session prize went to Jerry Davey and Gay Symons from Sezela with a score of 2+12.
