Tight games for Warriors

The season is drawing to a close for the mini league playing Warriors.

The South Coast Warriors chalked up yet another win, this time beating long time archrivals Kokstad at 43-19 at Douglas Mitchell Sports Ground last Saturday.
The seconds, playing in the earlier game, won 17-10.

Meanwhile, the minis didn’t have things all their own way at the penultimate fixture held at Toti Rugby Club.
The U11s were held to a 0-0 draw against Ballito Dolphins, with both teams ruing missed try-scoring opportunities yet both producing some outstanding defence.

The U9s beat Umz Ministries six tries to one, and then ran in five tries, unanswered, against Harlequins in their second game.

Most improved player was Sheldon Hiepner, who scored a couple of tries. Luan Holtzhausen also scored twice. The U7s won one and drew one.
The U9 squad comprised the following players.

Forwards: Gerrard Slippers, Ruandré Lindeque, Connor Forbes, Sheldon Hiepner, Zudik Sukkels, Kayden de Haas, Tristan Werner, Malakai Venter, Aiden Jordaan. Backs: Caiden Koekemoer, Luan Jordaan, Luan Holtzhausen, Handré Bergh, Charles Parsons, Mbulelo Kilani, Jesse and Ezra Langton. Coaches: Dewald Jordaan and Francois Slippers.

U11 squad: Liam Middleton, Ruan Smit, MJ Myburgh, Luke Moschides, Daniel Rush, Juan Beer, Drew Stott, Ryan Pronk, Quade Nicholls, Jacob Steynberg, Jade Jordaan, Zian Sukkels, Eli Langton, Zhuan Kellie, James Sharpe, Gideon Janse van Vuuren, Blake Longhurst, Jaydon Koekemoer, Abo Nyawose, Aya Nyawose, Cam Werner, Stefan Kotze.
