League golf fixture postponed

The players will have to wait a little longer to round off the season.

The final round of the Southern KZN handicap golf league was postponed due to inclement weather.

It was due to be played at Umdoni Park but has now been rescheduled to be played at Port Shepstone Country Club on December 10.

Selborne need only a half against Margate to defend their title. If the score is 6-6 they will win thanks to more game points. A loss hands Southbroom A the trophy.

Southbroom A currently lead the log, but have a bye, so can only wait and watch. At worst, they will finish second.
Umdoni A play Southbroom B in what is effectively a mid-table clash. A win could see Southbroom B take third spot should Port Shepstone lose to Umdoni B.

However, a win for Port Shepstone against Umdoni B will see them claim third spot, with Southbroom B in fourth spot, regardless of a win or a loss.

Port Shepstone could even end up second if Selborne lose to Margate, but that scenario doesn’t seem likely.
LOG: Southbroom A 9 (42,5); Selborne 8 (37); Port Shepstone 6 (38,5); Southbroom B 6 (30); Umdoni A 3 (30); Margate 2 (19,5); Umdoni B 2 (18,5).
